A lot has changed in the last week the ice is finally gone the water is warming up,saw 48-55 yesterday( Friday)and the walleyes have moved shallow and have really turned on!Fished the TFF the last two days and caught numbers of 16-19" fish in fact the majority of the fish caught were in the 16-18" range. we fished mostly rocks 5-9', some wood 6-8' 1/16 oz.weedless with large fatheads some spots, also put out slip bobbers and caught fish on those to.Had the pleasure of fishing with Mike and brothers Tom and Randy, didn't get to teach them anything on how to set the hook or use slip bobbers they had it down,we released a lot of 17&18" walleyes while sharing hunting stories. The smallmouth either weren't in 5-9'or are still a little sluggish only boated three the last couple days.Have a busy fishing week coming up but have lot of openings May 25th-June 1st.
