| FISHING REPORT 7/9/14 7:48 AM CST Conditions: Partly Sunny What a difference a day makes. The weather has had an effect on the fishing lately. I have a saying when I pull up to a favorite spot and 15 min. later no bite," you can't make em be there" there are days when" you can't make em bite". Monday my three guests had plenty to eat by lunch but after fishing a lot longer then I normally do, our total kept catch was 6 walleyes, 6 perch one crappie. We did have some sm under 15 and one too big to keep. After fishing a number of 10' spots to no avail we went to deep wood 13-18' where we did the best. Yesterday husband and wife Kevin and Debbie were prepared for the October like weather, the cold front with north wind had the fish in a good mood we kept a 9 fish limit of 14-16" walleyes and some nice perch, released other walleyes. We then went bass fishing and did well on sm. We did best on walleyes shallow also caught some in 12' and a 7' flat. Slip bobbers and crawlers. Bass 8' ,wood and a 5' hump with rock and big stumps. Bobbers and crawlers and dead sticks with 1/8 oz. jig and large leech. By Thursday I will have fished the tff 40 of 41 of the last days. This year in northern Wi. it went from winter to fishing season(no school day april 15th). I don't have any trips this weekend if any one is interested give me a call. I would hate to spend the weekend cleaning the garage and doing yard work, oh and the pile of logs in the front yard to cut. Jeff 715 776-0140 [This post was last edited on 7/9/14 at 7:52 AM] |
