quick report before heading out.

Yesterday was the first day we found a crawler bite. With flat water and bright skies all day we fished 12-18', We started out casting jigs three with a fathead and one with a crawler, first walleye caught was with a crawler, switched 2 and 2 by the end of the day three of us were using crawlers and one nonconformist stuck with the minnows. An attribute to the tff is the ability to find active fish on flat sunny days. We wound up with a 12 fish limit, quite a few of our fish were 16-17". Been having a lot of fun, youngest fisherman, Nick did give me a little grief about my stressful life of having to go fishing every day, oh what a grind it must be. Our best spot was 11=12' with nice rock and scattered wood, a spot I hadn't fished yet this year. Our slowest day was the day before, caught 7 w's kept 4, 5 big perch and a pike. The day before that 9 fish limit coming off of shorelines with wood and the wind cranking into them.

After almost of week of fishing in the rain, I found my phone deceased yesterday hope to be up and running later tonight. Would like to conduct a poll on rain gear, I've found no correlation in dollars spent vs. ability to keep rain out fished a lot of days wet and cold.

Thinblueline missed your ques. on fly fishing I'm not well versed on the mechanics but could help you on what species at what time of year, If you e-mail your phone# I will call you when I have a chance.

Gotta go fishing have a great day!
