Saturday May 3rd, 2014 - Opening Day for Fishing

Hope everyone had a nice winter, I know it was way too long for some. Here in Mercer we had 12" of snow Friday April 4th, school was cancelled for our son Tom.

We are now five days into some warm sunny weather and the thaw has begun, hoping for ice out by May 3rd, opening day.

Between ice fish guiding and the good fortune of having an indoor construction project, I had a busy winter and was able to make some investment in my guiding business. I found two low mileage snowmobiles for ice fishing and two nice 16' fishing boats. I wanted to have the ability to guide for larger groups and have a boat available for rental.

I wanted to get a personal thank you out to all who have fished with me.

As I have said in the past, to have a job you can't wait to get to in the morning is pretty special.

I have a lot of open time in May, June is filling up fast, I am hopeful July and August will be real busy again. One of the more difficult aspects has been trying to juggle the schedule to accommodate everyone. If you would like to fish with me again let me know as soon as you can.

Lastly I have a lot of nice pictures from the guide trips from the last two years on my web site. It is the tab called Picasa it is designed for customers to have the ability to download the pictures from their trip. If anyone has any problems with this feature please let me know.

Looking forward to another great year of fishing thanks again to all who have chosen my guide service.
